On June 8-12,2002, the 6th Shanghai International Film Festival, China’s first digital cinema-Shanghai Paradise Theater and China’s second digital cinemaThe Grand Theater become a brilliance as one of authorized cinemas for SIFF Panorama. DSR™ Digital Film Server installed in this two cinemas showed
Columbia Pictures’ digital feature film “Final Fantasy” during SIFF. This symbolized another leap and forward in digitizing China’s film industry following the occurrence of digital projector on last SIFF. The successful panorama of digital film in digital cinema brought audiences a thoroughly new experience, which is widely concerned and accepted by the audiences and experts. It’s believed that digital cinema industry will develop in a quicker speed.
